SOME CHOCOLATE FOR "CINEMA BIZARRE"
1. First question will be about your new album. Can u tell us about it? Why it is called ‘’Toyz’’? Who plays with whom? Who plays the main role? What can u say about it.
Strify: We have many faces. And we are showing a lot of faces on the album. U can see a very rock-side of us, u can see a very pop side of us. A soft side and a hard side. The album shows the album full of melancholy and this is our world.
2. It is very interesting for us-what about toyz in your childhood? May be u keep them till now?
Kiro: I played mostly with cars and Barbies.
Strify: I was very playfull. I think that u can play with everything. It is important to find in the toy something special. Something, which can be interesting.
3. Tell us about your impressions from the USA tour.
Strify: USA tour was the great experience for us. USA is a very big country. It was very important for us to play concerts there, ..cause it is such great opportunity for the band from Germany. Not everyone can have so great luck as we! I think? That during these 6 weeks we have learned a lot. It was unforgettable time for us!
4. Do u feel some changes in yourself after your return?
Strify: Of course we do…But these changes are connected not only with USA tour. When u make some steps forward in your life, u will feel changes.
5. Now u are again in Russia. Do u still remember some Russian words?
Kiro: Wodka (laughing together)
Strify: I can say “Na zdrovye”
Kiro: Privet, Kak dela, Menja zovut Kiro,Poka
6. Kiro, u seems to know a lot of Russian bands and singers.
Kiro: Oh, yes. (smiling)I know Tatu, Dima Bilan, BiS, Serebro, Sergey Lazarev, Vlad Topalov,Nato…Well,who else? Reflex,Hi-Fi…
Strify: I know just Tatu and Dima Bilan as the winner the Eurovision Song Contest.
7. By the way, have u seen Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow this year?
Kiro: I saw some videos, for example with Tatu.
Strify: Lena looked as Sailor Moon from the anime.
Kiro: But to be honest we hadn..t so much time to watch it…We were in tour.
8. It..s clear. Do u know some Russian movies?
Strify: I have seen only “ The night watch”….and also I know the movie “Gorky park”…Is it Russian or no?
It..s American movie!
Strify: Than only “The night watch”.
9. What about your hobbys?
Kiro: We like clubbing a lot, to be with our friends, to go shopping. Sometimes we are watching DVD all together.
10. Have u enough time for your family?
Kiro: Family is very important for every one of us. But i haven..t seen my family for a half a year. But if I have free time I try to spend it with my family.
11. Do u have any special wishes in your rider?
Strify: Nothing special. Just common things. Something to drink, something to eat. Something, which can give u comfort feelings when u are not at home. Some chocolate, some fruits, some wodka(laughing).
12. The next question will be interesting for all fans: Why Shin is always so silent? Does he really so quiet or it is just a vision?
Kiro: (laughing) No..no…Shin is so calm and silent only in presence of journalists. When they are gone, he shows his real “I”.(Kiro laughs and make some active movements with hands, showing us real Shin).He is very energetic boy!
13. Do u want to make some projects with the other musicians?
Kiro: Sure… Tatu, Lady Gaga
14. Do u want back in the past and may be change something there?
Kiro: No…No changes.May be just for the one day…But not with purpose to change smth, just to keep better in my memory some important moments of my life.
Strify: I always wanted to live in the past, some 1000 years ago and to have there the great experience. But to live here and now, u shouldn..t regret. U should enjoy the moment and to know the value of everything u have.
15. What is popularity for u?
Strify: Do u mean “fame” or popularity? Cause this words are too different. Fame for me means, that people know u. And popularity when people love u. They love u for everything, even if u do something wrong. But it is difficult point. I think, that absolutely popularity is not possible. When u are too popular, there will be always people, who will hate u.
16. Can u say the most common question, which u have been asked by journalists or fans?
Kiro: Let me think…May be “ Hello, how are u?”(laughing)
Strify: Yes, but it is just normal question. We should ask it to be polite.
17. In conclusion. Say something for the Russian readers of the “ All Stars”.
Strify: Stay always bizarre! And if u aren’t bizarre so join us and enjoy life!

Five Things You Didn’t Know About Cinema Bizarre!
Cinema Bizarre is a five piece Berlin based band with an eclectic sound! Glam, New Wave, Electro, New Romantic, Rock. It’s a fusion of all of these and more! As lead singer Strify explains, “Our sound stands for a big firework – musically and emotionally. We want to fascinate the people and lead them to another world with our songs.”
Along with Strify, Kiro, Yu, Shin and Romeo found each other on the internet – a series of chance emails and a shared love of ‘Visual Kei’ the Japanese youth culture. It’s all about individuality, self development and rebellion and for many in Japan a way of showing the world that won’t be suppressed.
The boys recently toured with Lady Gaga and are now working on their second tour. “Currently we are working on own European “WE’RE ALL TOYZ”-Tour. We are also planning another trip to the US this summer and for sure we also want to come back to play more concerts and a full US tour. GaGa was very supportive and it was a great oppurtunity to go on tour with her.”
I got the chance to ask Cinema Bizarre five questions and here are their answers…
Describe your craziest fan encounter. - We had a party in Hamburg and there was this very young girl in the first row telling the security she couldn’t get out but needed to go to the bathroom. He took her backstage so she could get to the bathroom there, but instead of using it, she passed us smiling and left the backstage again.
Who would you most want to open for, or have open for you?!? - I’d like to open for Grace Jones.
Favorite venue ever? - In America the House of Blues in Chicago, in Europe the Bataclan in Paris.
Favorite band ever? - MUSE. Queen.
Favorite song ever? - Music is too manifold to only pick one song, I really can’t decide.

Cinema Bizarre Interview
Glam-Pop Rockers Play With Toyz
For those who don’t know, Cinema Bizarre is a unique band that hails from Berlin, Germany. Their sound is eclectic ranging from new wave and power pop to gothic rock.
Beyond their distinctive sound, it is interesting how Cinema Bizarre met—the internet. As a matter of fact all the members, despite being German, found each other through the internet with a fascination of Japanese youth culture, also known as ‘Visual Kei.’ This ‘Visual Kei’ is an ideology based on individuality, self development and rebellion. Eventually, they met at a Manga/Anime convention, where soon afterwards they amazingly found themselves with a record deal.
Their first album Final Attraction is a group of songs with an array of styles that is formed by each individual band member’s taste. The album went Top 10 in their native country with the single “Love Songs” garnering the same attention. In fact, their video for that single hit 100,000 views in its first week.
It is no doubt with their eclectic style, attitude and various fan sites dedicated to them, Cinema Bizarre are geared to be a force to be reckoned with. Currently, the band is working on their second disc entitled TOYSZ. During the recording, we were able to ask Cinema Bizarre some questions.
So from what I hear, you guys met online through similar interests such as ‘Visual Kei.’ What is it about ‘Visual Kei’ that is so important to you, both artistically and personally?
Strify: The mixture of androgynity, glamour, punk and the exotic of Japan was very attractive too me. I've always been quite androgynous and found a whole new world for me in Visual Kei. But we never wanted to copy that style, it was just one of the first steps for us to step into that universe.
After forming a band, how did you guys develop your sound? Was it instant musical chemistry?
It definitely was a long way. We aren't a typical garage band that played every weekend. We lived in different cities, but forming a band was possible for us because of the internet. We tried to find a style and mixed a lot of elements. Each one of us bring in a different flavour to create Cinema Bizarre.
Besides ‘Visual Kei’ what are some inspirations of yours?
I'm a big fan of electronic music and pop music. I also love the vibe of the 80's.
Are there any dream bands or artists you would love to share the bill with that you haven’t?
Maybe Robyn.
What is the recording process like for Cinema Bizarre?
We collect ideas and sounds all the time which we could turn into music. I have a little book in which I write all my ideas. When we start to recod something we use all that stuff to find inspiration and creativity.
I hear you guys are making a new album TOYZ, what can people expect from it? What makes this album different from your debut?
TOYZ is coming out in Europe while on August 25 in the US the album "BANG!" will be released. It'll be a mix of the two European albums with some new stuff as well.
What can people expect from a Cinema Bizarre live show?
5 boys on stage, looking pretty and sending the crowd a ray of energy. It's rock'n'roll mixed with something theatrical.
What are your touring plans? Are there any places you would really like to perform that you haven’t?
We are coming back in summer to the US and we ant to play a tour there as well. We still haven't been to Japan which is a dream of ours.
What sets you apart from other bands/artists in the music industry?
Cinema Bizarre is not only meant to be heard, we're also meant to be seen. We are bizarre and not afraid to do something unusual.
Where do you see yourself in say, 5-10 years? Are there any goals you have set in place?

Cinema Bizarre Talks Twilight, Jonas, and Tokio Hotel
What’s our new favorite thing straight out of Germany?!?! Well, it’s not Tokio Hotel (shuush…we still love them!) What we’re really talking about is Cinema Bizarre — one part fashion, one part androgyny and a whole lotta electro-pop goodness. Influenced by Japanese subculture, Grace Jones and the incomparable David Bowie, lead singer Strify is all things a frontman should be. When we had the chance to catch up with Strify we knew we had to surprise him with some hard hitting journalistic questions — like who would you date and who would you dump. You’ll have to read on to see where Miley Cyrus and Robert Pattinson landed on that list…
Being a new band from Germany and given both your look and your sound there are obvious similarities to Tokio Hotel. How do you deal, as a band, with the constant comparisons? What separates you from Tokio Hotel?
The only thing that we really do have in common is that we are two successful bands from Germany with and extraordinary style traveling around the world. I really think that anyone who finds our music sounds similar must be deaf. But I just don’t deal with the comparisons at all because we are doing our own thing and have our own identity.
Your first big tour in the United States was with Lady Gaga who is arguably at the top of the pop food chain right now. Where does Cinema Bizarre go from there with another tour?
Currently we are working on own European “WE’RE ALL TOYZ”-Tour. We are also planning another trip to the US this summer and for sure we also want to come back to play more concerts and a full US tour. GaGa was very supportive and it was a great oppurtunity to go on tour with her.
It was just announced that your album Bang will be coming out in the United States on August 25th. Can you tell us a bit about what fans have to look forward to? How will this release differ from past albums in Germany?
In Europe we are releasing the second album but we don’t want the US to miss the first one. So we decided to make a mix up of the two European albums. But there will also be some tracks that we worked on just for the US market. “BANG!” is goin to be a firework of glitter, melancholy and power. It’s just goin to be bang!
Each member of the band has a very unique look and it seems as if androgyny is a theme. Is this a true statement?
I have always been very androgynous. If you look at pictures from my childhood I already have been lookin different than other kids. At least they made me feel different. I was a misfit and they forced me to think about the way I am. I just don’t want to be restricted by what I do by rules that are from another time. Why shouldn’t a guy be wearing make up? I don’t know who makes that rules and I don’t care about those either.
What’s the best hair and makeup advice you could give one of your fans?
I’m not the guy to give anyone an advice how they should look like. Just feel comfortable with what you do. The only way to get happy is being you.
If you had to pick one person to date and one person to dump who would be which from Twilight’s Robert Pattinson or Jonas Brother’s Nick Jonas. Same question for Megan Fox or Miley Cyrus.
I’d dump Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus.

"FA" Gold in Russia & some news for all fans <3
Gold in Russia Im Rahmen ihrer Shows mit ausverkauften Konzerten in Moskau und Kiew konnten Cinema Bizarre eine Goldene Schallplatte für die Verkäufe ihres Debütalbums "Final Attraction" von Universal Russland in Empfang nehmen. Im August erscheinen die neuen Single "I came to party", ein Feature mit Space Cowboy und produziert von Lady GaGa's Producer RedOne, sowie das Album "toyZ", das in über 20 Ländern weltweit veröffentlicht werden wird.
Cinema Bizarre spielen bis zum Herbst 25 Dates in Russland, Ukraine, Österreich, Holland, Luxemburg, Italien, Dänemark und natürlich auch in Deutschland. Weitere Shows in Frankreich, UK, Spanien und Ost-Europa folgen, ebenso wie in den USA, Kanada und Südamerika im Herbst / Winter. Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Jungs!

As part of their shows could sold out like concerts in Moscow and Kiev, Cinema Bizarre received a Gold Record from Universal Russia for the sales of their debut album "Final Attraction". In August will come out the new single "I came to party", a feature with Space Cowboy and produced by Lady Gaga's Producer Redon, as well as the album "Toyz," which will be published in over 20 countries worldwide.
Until autumn, Cinema Bizarre will play 25 dates in Russia, Ukraine, Austria, Holland, Luxembourg, Italy, Denmark and also in Germany. Other shows will follow in France, UK, Spain and Eastern Europe , as well as in the U.S., Canada and South America in the autumn / winter.

Hey ya!!
I hope you are all fine! I've had a great time in russia and the urkraine!!! It was amazing! The concert in moscow was really great, great energy ;D I hope you all like our new songs ;D Kiew was also very nice, I really like the city, it's very beautiful!!!! We will come back very soon and I can't wait for it!
Our party in Hamburg was fun! I like to make party and everytime we have a DJ-Set, I really enjoy it!!!!! I hope you also had a lot of fun with us in Hamburg!
In Paris we had an acoustic set, that was really special!!! We will do this more often for you ;D I really love Paris, it's so beautiful in summer ;D
And thx you all for the nice presents we got the last few weeks ;D
Soon we will shoot our new video for our new single 'I came 2 party' which will be released in August! ;D
The weather at the moment is so nice, enjoy your time and see ya soon ;D

Am Sonntag, den 14. Juni wird im Berliner Sony-Center wieder der rote Teppich ausgerollt. Die Fortsetzung des Hollywood-Blockbusters „Transformers“, „Transformers – Die Rache“ feiert Deutschlandpremiere. Mit dabei sind auch Cinema Bizarre. Die junge Berliner Band freut sich auf das Acitonspektakel von Star-Regisseur Michael Bay. Dieser wird ebenso wie seine Hauptdarsteller Megan Fox und Shia LaBeouf zur Deutschlandpremiere erwartet.
Die neue Single von Cinema Bizarre, die gerade von einer Konzertreise aus Moskau und Kiew zuruckgekehrt sind, wird am 7. August 2009 veroffentlicht. Sie wird “I came to party“ heissen und ist ein gemeinsames Projekt mit Lady-Gaga-DJ Space Cowboy. Das zweite Album der Band mit dem Namen „toyZ“ erscheint am 21. August 2009.
Cinema Bizarre gehort zu den aussergewohnlichsten deutschen Bands der Szene. Ihr Glam-Style orientiert sich stark am popularen japanischen „visual kei“. Schon ihr erstes Album „Final Attraction“, aus dem Jahr 2007, erreichte in Russland Goldstatus und die dazugehorige Tour, mit insgesamt 50 Shows, war von Paris uber Mailand, Moskau und Amsterdam komplett ausverkauft. Dies brachte den jungen Musikern eine grosse Fanbase in Europa und sogar einen Fanclub in den USA mit bereits uber 8500 Mitgliedern ein – wohlgemerkt vor dem offiziellen Launch der Band in den Vereinigten Staaten. Auch bei der weltweiten Musikprominenz ist Cinema Bizarre bereits in aller Munde.
